Jason Selezinka

Born in Santa Barbara in March of 1975, Jason Selezinka spent his childhood immersed in the natural beauty of Southern California and Arizona. It wasn't until his family moved to Florida at age 11 that he discovered a passion for the arts that would shape his life.
Inspired by a visit to MegaCon in 2011, Jason reignited his lifelong dream of painting with newfound enthusiasm and flair. As the owner and founder of drexNINEstudios, Jason has carved out a unique niche in the art world, blending nostalgia with contemporary creativity.
A self-taught artist,, shenanigan maker and time traveler extraordinaire, Jason adeptly combines traditional painting methods with the innovations of digital media, creating vibrant pieces that evoke the spirit of stained glass windows and playful family portraits. His artwork often features beloved heroes, villains, and monsters, set against the backdrop of retro 1970s wallpaper, reminiscent of those awkward family photos we all cherish.
But the art art goes beyond that. It taps into the childhood longing for toys and memorabilia—those Hot Wheels, Transformers, the Death Star play set and G.I. Joe aircraft carrier that was once just out of reach. Now, as an adult, you can purchase those for yourself and embrace that nostalgia freely, and that's the essence of drexNINEstudios. Jason aims to bring the past back to life through fun and unique art that connects with the pop culture memories that shaped who we are today.
Currently based in Jacksonville, Florida, Jason finds inspiration in the world around him. He enjoys traveling, people-watching, board games, and the thrill of getting lost in new places. His interests range from pro football to photography, cooking, mezcal, and, of course, the rich tapestry of movies and music that resonate through his work. If you love the pop culture of your youth, you’re likely to find joy in Jason's creations as much as he finds in bringing them to life.
